Here is what’s included in the program of this tour

1
NAMIBIA DESERT
Upon arrival you will be met at the Airport at Windhoek, then driven to your lodge, if time allows you pass by the beautiful Spreetshoogte pass with a view of the stunning escarpment.
- Dinner and overnight at Desert Homestead of standard accommodation basis.

NAMIBIA DESERT
Day begin with early morning breakfast, then head to Sossusylei enter via the Sesriem gate and visit the surrounding area. Normally the morning is spent in the beautiful area and return back to the lodge for lunch, or you can opt to arrange a packed lunch to enjoy the dunes in the area.

3 & 4
SWAKOPMUND/WALVIS BAY
Depart after breakfast and head North to Solitaire, then West crossing the Tropic of Capricorn through the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyona via the Namibia Gravel plains to the coast, the Skeleton coast, either Walvis Bay to Swakopmund or via Ganab to the Welwitschia plains and moon landscape.
The Namibian coastline is generally known as The Skeleton Coast due to the barren area, ship wrecks and whale skeleton left on the beach. One full day is set aside for this lovely area where Swakopmund and Walvis Bay offer a wide range of activities such as Dolphin cruise, Sandwich harbour excursion, a real skeleton experience, Dune quad and Dune boarding, Sea kayaking, Scenic flights, fun fishing among others.

DAMARALAND
On this day after breakfast, head north along the Skeleton coast via Henities Bay and visit the Cape Cross seal colony, along the way stop at the Lichen fields as well as the ship wreck between the colourful small town of Vlotskasbaken and Henties Bay. Back track to Henities Bay and head inland through wide open plains to Ujs, then north to the Twyfelfontein area. Late afternoon (in the morning) visit to Namibia Open Air Museum, the Twyfelfontein Rock engravings as well as the interesting Organ pipes rock and Burnt Mountain. Take a drive (4x4 needed) or you can arrange with the lodge for the use of their vehicles and a guide (optional) for a drive West to the Huab River to search for the well adapted elephants as well as other game such as Oryx, Springbok, Ostrich among others.

6 & 7
DAMARALAND – REMOTE AREAS
Head north through the open plains and mountains ranges to the veterinary control fence, close to Palmwag lodge, where the lodge guide will pick you up and drive you to the lodge, with wildlife species to be spotted along the way on the rough terrain, but definitely an experience of its own. Spend 2 nights with a full day set aside to the beautiful eco-friendly lodge with various activities which can be undertaken such as nature/game hike, game drives among other in the remote area.

OPUWO
Picked up after breakfast and then head north crossing the Hoanib River and over Joubert pass to Opuwo, the centre of “Kaokoland”, a small typical African town where a range of different people live, from the traditional Himba tribes, Herero, Damara and Owambo cultures. Stop along the way at various villages to interact with the local people and photograph, but first a permission sought before doing so, and is payed in cash using the local currency, or food stuff including maize meal, sugar, tea etc.

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK (WEST SIDE)
Picked up in the morning and depart visiting some local villages, later head to West side of Etosha at Habatere conservation, followed by evening game drive, which is optional at an extra cost.

10 & 11
ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, enter the park via the Wstern Galton Gate, with a morning game drive to Okaukuejo and exit Etosha at the Southern gate, lunch followed by optional evening game drive.

12 & 13
ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast then set off for a full day game drive, stopping at some numerous waterholes along the way, first stop would be Okaukuejo where you pay your entry fee and I suggest you pop in at the local shop to purchase some drinks and snacks and most importantly, a map of Etosha which will show you all the waterholes along the way, a slow drive in the morning and ending for lunch at the Halali Resort which is half way between Okaukuejo and the eastern exit, 13th day is set aside for game viewing, either all day or AM and PM … these are self-drive drives but you can arrange at the lodge to go with their open safari vehicle and guide (extra). Good places to visit in the eastern side.

CENTRAL NAMIBIA / AFRICAT
Breakfast then head south via Otavi and Otjiwarongo to Okonjima Lodge which is home to the AfriCat Foundation … and arrive here by 14h00 latest in order to enjoy the afternoon tea/coffee and cakes before heading off on your afternoon excursion.
- Dinner and overnight at Okonjima Plains camp.

WINDHOEK
Morning snacks then visit the AfriCat Foundation or for a game drive, return to the lodge for a hearty Namibian breakfast before departure to Windhoek today and dropped off.

The airport is about 1 hour beyond Windhoek, and you need to add 2 hours pre departures so outbound flight must be late afternoon or evening.
